Hi, my name is Harri Lammi and I’m a Terrible Singer. This is my quest to become a better singer.
I was about 14 years old, when I started to play guitar. I had different kinds of bands with my friends and I enjoyd playing different styles, mainly metal, rock and punk. During those times, I realised I was a terrible singer. I mean REALLY terrible. I couldn’t even nail “Happy Birthday” or any of those Xmas songs. Well, at that time it didn’t bother me that much but now, 14 years later, I’m really putting some effort to become a better singer. And why’s that? Because I have a secret habit. That habit is going to drive me (and my family
) nuts, if I don’t practise my singing skills. Do you want to know my Secret?
I LIKE TO SING ALONG WHILE DRIVING!
If there’s a familiar tune on the radio and I know the song, I’m dying to sing along. There are so many great songs out there that get me excited and I just can’t help myself. I want to sing along! I don’t care if its rock or hiphop. If I know the lyrics, I want to knock myself out! The problem is that I sing so terribly, that even I can hear it!
So what to do?
I’M GOING TO LEARN HOW TO SING BETTER!
With all the knowledge available, I’m definitely sure that even I can learn to sing. I’m going to pick up information from the internet and use our fantastic public library to find useful learning material. In this blog I’m going to share my experiences and hopefully give to you, my dear reader, some good information. So, please come by every now and then and check out where I’m going. I bet its going to be a long road, so there’s going to be plenty of posts…
Oh, there’s still one twist that I forgot to mention. Since I’m a family man, I usually spend the evenings with my wife and kids. So, I was wondering where I could find the spare time for this hobby. Hmmmmm… A-HA! Of course, the best time to practise singing is while I’m driving to work! I have the privacy, I have the MP3 player and I have 5 hours of practise per week! Yes, its all there. Now I just need to do it. Make it happen. Yes, this is what I’m seriously going to do.
